Amy Covert moved to Mercer during the summer of 2018 after living over 30 years in Lancaster County in Pennsylvania. She graduated from Grove City College where she met her husband, Kurtis. Kurtis works as a technical writer in Mercer. They have two grown children, Jonathan and Mary, who are each graduates of Temple University. Jonathan and his wife Deb live in Arlington, Virginia while Deb attends Georgetown Univeristy for graduate work. Mary lives in Philadelphia where she is a nanny and a piano teacher. Both children are accomplished musicians.
Before moving to Mercer, Amy was employed by Reformed Presbyterian Church of Ephrata, Pennsylvania as Finance Administrator for 5 years as well as working for a local eye doctor for over 15 years. She and her husband were both active members of their church. Kurt was the Music Director and Praise Band leader of their church for over 15 years and a fulltime technical writer in York, Pennsylvania.
Amy enjoys creative pursuits including amateur photography, needlework, and watercolors. She also loves getting to know her neighbors, having visitors in her home, and exploring local communities.
