I began my church accompanist experience as a high school junior playing the piano through my college years for the Junior Choir at East Main Presbyterian Church, Grove City. I then served as organist at Christ Lutheran Church, Sharon, from August of 1969 through the summer of 1978. Since Fall 1978, I have been organist and pianist at Trinity, adding the responsibilities of music coordinator in 1998.
Additionally, I have been organist for two weekend Masses at Immaculate Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church since September 2016.
I retired in 2007 from the English department at Mercer High School after 37 years. I recently retired from preparing a weekly column I had written since 1967 about the Pittsburgh Pirates for Allied News. My current project is writing Man on Second, an occasional opinion piece on sports for the newspaper.
My wife, Donna, and I have three grown children and five grandchildren.
