I began my church accompanist experience as a high school junior playing the piano through my college years for the Junior Choir at East Main Presbyterian Church, Grove City. I then served as organist at Christ Lutheran Church, Sharon, from August of 1969 through the summer of 1978. Since Fall 1978, I have been organist and pianist at Trinity, adding the responsibilities of music coordinator in 1998.
Additionally, I have been organist for two weekend Masses at Immaculate Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church since September 2016. My current project is as a member of the Trinity Organ Search Committee, as we select a new Allen Organ to replace our current 1972 Allen instrument.
I retired in 2007 from the English department at Mercer High School after 37 years. Since 1967, I have written a weekly column about the Pittsburgh Pirates for Allied News. My wife, Donna, and I have three grown children and five grandchildren.
